A Lightweight Website Is Okay
Having a lightweight website is totally fine because you are kind to
- many people around the world who have either a slow or no internet; and
- millions of people who do not have cheap internet or do not have unlimited internet or both; and
- many people who temporarily have no access to fast internet.
I am not saying that you should have a plain website. I suggest that you progressively enhance your website. This means when only plain HTML arrives, your website is still understandable. When only plain HTML and a stylesheet are loaded, your website is still accessible.
Use your creativity and logic to develop a website with progressive enhancement.
Remember that your website can be expensive for others. Be nice.
