Learn the basic grammar of the language you want to use for your writing on your website.

English is a foreign language for some people. Non-native English people, including me, may have a hard time understanding what you say if you use many slang words. This is one example.

Then, make sure ambiguity does not exist. Every time you find one in your writing, fix it. For example, "I love young and old Christians" has two meanings:

  • I love young Christians and old Christians; or
  • I love young people and old Christians.

Another example is that "John meets Harry at his office," which is unclear. The meaning can be the following:

  • John meets Harry at John's office; or
  • John meets Harry at Harry's office.

But remember to always understand the context. If we go back to the first example—I love young and old Christians—and the topic is about Christianity, and there is a prior sentence stating, "I do not care about age," we can assume that the author loves young Christians and old Christians.

The second example can be clear if the context is that John is the boss and Harry is John's employee. We can assume that John will meet Harry at John's office.

Make sure you write with correct grammar and clear context.
