Use a Tool Based on Your Preferences
Mindset
People on the Internet love to debate about an unnecessary topic. People argue that we should use this or that. But that does not matter.
I use VSCodium. If you use something else, no problem.
Do I need to convince you to use VSCodium? No, I do not. You can use any tools that suit your needs and conditions.
But you may get influenced by other people and become confused. You waste your time changing your tools because of people's opinions.
I am going to tell you a way to decide when to change a tool, which can be your code editor or any other tool to help you develop your website.
The idea is simple: use a tool based on your preferences. For example, I was using Visual Studio Code from Microsoft. I was fine with it until I noticed VSCodium. VSCodium does not have any proprietary code. I prefer using free/libre software. Knowing that made me switch to VSCodium.
Another example is that I was using PowerShell. I liked it. But when I learned that Command Prompt is much faster to open compared to PowerShell, I switched to Command Prompt. I prefer a terminal that opens quickly.
Until now, I have used Command Prompt and VSCodium. If I find better alternatives that suit my preferences, I will replace the old ones.
As a side note, you do not need to be loyal to a certain tool or program. Let yourself be free.
If you know that you already have the best tools, people can not change your mind easily. To know that, you need to know your preferences.
