Do Not Care Too Much about a Single Standard

Mindset

Do I need to care about Google PageInsight's score? No, I do not need to care about it.

Why do I need to care so much about it? It is just a Google standard to define a good website. It is just one standard among dozens of standards for a good website.

Cloudflare has its own standard. Each tool to test your web performance has its own standard.

I do not need to meet one standard all the time. As long as the website is accessible to the users and nobody complains, the website is good.

You make your website for people. Your website is not for those web testing tools.

If people recommend your website to others, do you think a bad Lighthouse score matters? The same goes for the opposite: if your website gets perfect scores on Lighthouse but nobody cares about it, do you think you already have a good website?

As a side note, remember that we are talking about a mindset for developing a personal website. No more, no less.
