Nothing Is Less than Nothing

When you start publishing articles, nobody knows you. Nobody even reads them. Then, your motivation gets lowered because nobody writes comments to you. You start feeling insecure. But this situation, if you see it from a different perspective, is a blessing too.

I was in that situation for more than a year. I was really hoping that someone would send me a nice email. But nobody sent me any emails. That was bad and reduced my motivation. But I did not give up. I kept writing articles, and I knew that one day people would know me.

If nobody cares about your articles, you are not getting bothered at all. Remember, once you become popular, you will not have an empty email inbox again.

I want you to see your empty inbox from two different perspectives: nobody cares about your articles, and nobody bothers you. Those perspectives are correct. They are facts, so you are not fooling yourself.

Also, if nobody writes comments to you, you can not have the worst and the best situation. The worst situation is when trolls are making fun of you. The best situation is when your fans compliment you because your articles are helpful.

The best situation is preferable, but are you ready for the worst scenario? Not to mention the situations somewhere in the middle. For example, a person pretends to like your articles at first. Then, once this person can control your emotions with the comments, this person starts sending bad comments to make you feel down, and eventually, do what that person wants. Is that possible? Yes, it is very possible because we are on the Internet.

Your empty mailbox is a good and bad thing at the same time. Knowing that nobody bothers you can make you focus on writing more articles. Knowing that nobody writes comments makes you keep moving forward until you get lots of like-minded people who want to connect with you.

Keep producing. Keep writing articles.
